Garment Care Guide
For optimal longevity of your garments, we suggest washing in cold water using a gentle cycle with pH-neutral, natural cleaning agents. After washing, air dry your items to preserve fabric integrity and reduce environmental impact. Hand washing is also highly effective for delicate pieces. If machine washing mixed items, protect your garments by placing them in a tightly woven protective laundry bag.
Please note that fabrics may contract approximately 5-7% during washing.
To maximize color retention:
Group similarly colored items when washing
Use cold water as heat weakens the dye-fiber bond
Turn garments inside out before washing
Avoid overloading your washing machine
Select shorter, gentler wash cycles
Choose liquid detergents to prevent residue buildup
Leather Bag Care Guide
Daily Maintenance
Wipe your leather bag with a clean, dry cloth after each use to remove surface dust and dirt
Store your bag in a dust bag or pillowcase when not in use
Avoid hanging leather bags; store them upright or flat to maintain their shape
Keep bags away from direct sunlight and heat sources, which can cause leather to dry out and fade
Cleaning
For routine cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap specifically formulated for leather
Test any cleaning product on an inconspicuous area first
Gently wipe rather than scrub to avoid damaging the leather surface
Allow the bag to air dry completely before storing or using
Never use household cleaners, alcohol-based products, or baby wipes on leather
Conditioning
Apply a high-quality leather conditioner every 3-6 months, or more frequently in dry climates
Use a small amount of conditioner on a soft cloth, applying in circular motions
Allow the conditioner to absorb for several hours or overnight
Buff away any excess with a clean cloth
This helps prevent cracking and maintains leather's natural oils
Handling Stains
Address spills immediately by blotting (not rubbing) with a clean, dry cloth
For grease stains, apply a small amount of cornstarch or talcum powder to absorb the oil, then brush away after several hours
For water stains, allow the entire area to dry naturally and then condition
For ink stains, consult a professional leather cleaner rather than attempting home remedies
Weather Protection
Apply a leather protectant spray before first use and reapply seasonally
Keep leather bags away from rain and snow when possible
If your bag gets wet, blot gently with a dry cloth and allow to dry naturally away from heat sources
Stuff the bag with paper to maintain its shape while drying
Hardware Care
Clean metal hardware with a soft cloth
For tarnished hardware, use a specialized metal polish appropriate for the specific metal type
Avoid getting leather cleaners or conditioners on metal parts
Special Considerations
Suede require special care with brushes designed specifically for these materials
Patent leather should be wiped with a damp cloth and occasionally treated with patent leather conditioner
Remember that leather is a natural material that will develop a unique patina over time. Proper care will enhance this natural aging process while extending the life of your bag.
